ANSI Ink End User License Agreement
Effective date: The date the Plugin was first published on JetBrains Marketplace.
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is between the person or organization using ANSI Ink (formerly ANSI Lens) (“you”) and Arun Manathamkandi, publishing under the LeoArk name (“Developer”). It applies to the ANSI Ink plugin (“Plugin”) obtained through JetBrains Marketplace. JetBrains is not a party to this Agreement and is not the licensor of the Plugin.
1. License
The Developer grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to install and use the Plugin for personal, educational, and commercial purposes. You may make only the copies technically necessary to install and use the Plugin; this Agreement does not grant permission to keep separate backup or archival copies. The license for a version you lawfully obtained is perpetual, unless it ends under Section 5. No source-code license is granted.
2. Ownership and Restrictions
The Developer retains ownership of the Plugin, except for third-party material governed by its own notices and licenses. You retain ownership of the files you open or edit with the Plugin. You may not redistribute the Plugin, including an unchanged ZIP, outside JetBrains Marketplace, sublicense it, or publish modified versions. This does not restrict rights that applicable law does not allow this Agreement to restrict.
3. Third-Party Material
The Plugin includes an icon adapted from Lucide. Its ISC license and attribution are included in the Plugin’s third-party notices. That material remains subject to its own license.
4. Updates and Support
The Developer may provide updates or discontinue development, but does not promise updates, compatibility with every JetBrains IDE version, or individual support. An update may be accompanied by revised terms; those terms apply only as permitted by applicable law and after they are made available to you.
5. Termination
If you materially breach this Agreement, the Developer may terminate your license after notifying you and giving you a reasonable opportunity to remedy the breach where required by law. On termination, stop using the Plugin and delete your copies, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
6. Disclaimer of Warranty
The Plugin is provided “as is” and “as available,” at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer makes no express or implied warranties about the Plugin, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that the Plugin will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, free from vulnerabilities or harmful components, or compatible with every IDE or environment. Updates, fixes, and support are not guaranteed.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer is not liable for any claims, costs, losses, or damages arising out of or relating to the Plugin, its installation, use, or inability to use. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss or corruption of files or data; unauthorized access to or disclosure of data; cybersecurity incidents; lost profits; and interruption of work. This exclusion applies regardless of the legal basis of a claim, including contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if the Developer was advised that such harm might occur or a remedy fails its essential purpose.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. JetBrains is not a party to this Agreement and has no responsibility under it for the Plugin, its support, or claims about it.
